The Force is Strong at Chicago’s Original Comic Con August 16 - 18, 2024
Chicago, Illinois (July 31, 2024) – Today, Chicago’s original Comic Con FAN EXPO Chicago announced two more STAR WARS universe fan favorites, Rosario Dawson and Temuera Morrison, joining an already stellar galaxy of guests at this year’s show, running August 16 - 18, 2024 at the Donald E. Rosario Dawson’s (AHSOKA) film career launched with Harmony Korine’s controversial KIDS, followed by LIGHT IT UP, Spike Lee’s 25TH HOUR, and SHATTERED GLASS, alongside fellow FAN EXPO Chicago guest Hayden Christensen. Dawson has displayed her vocal talents in the film adaptations of JOSIE AND THE PUSSYCATS and hit New York musical RENT. Dawson is also a Marvel Universe player with her roles in DAREDEVIL, IRON FIST, and THE DEFENDERS. Off camera, Dawson is active in political and social campaigns including Amnesty International, The Nature Conservancy, and Voto Latino, which she co-founded.
New Zealand’s Temuera Morrison’s (THE BOOK OF BOBA FETT, THE MANDALORIAN) first starring role was in James Bond parody NEVER SAY DIE, followed by ONCE WERE WARRIORS, which became the most successful locally-produced title in the country. Morrison then went international, playing opposite Marlon Brando in THE ISLAND OF DR. MOREAU, and with roles in SPEED 2: CRUISE CONTROL and THE BEAUTIFUL COUNTRY. Most recently, Morrison’s voice can be heard as Chief Tui, the father of Disney’s MOANA; and he can be seen as Aquaman’s father in AQUAMAN and its sequel.
Dawson and Morrison join an impressive roster of celebrity guests at FAN EXPO Chicago 2024, including the first-ever joint appearance by STAR WARS legends Mark Hamill and Hayden Christensen; with fellow STAR WARS universe stars Eman Esfandi, Diana Lee Inosanto, Alan Tudyk, Joonas Suotamo, and Gina Carano.
